Two robed figures walk slowly in procession around the room. A cute pentagram of tealights flickers peacefully in the maelstrom. You hear the crow’s call as your phone announces “please connect charger”. Did you see a feline succubus or is your mind playing tricks on you?
If you know how to read the signs, then chances are that you have caught a glimpse of the TRVE YORKSHIRE KVLT ENSEMBLE. During one of these rare visits, the group materialises out of basements, bottle bins and bogs before unleashing cvrsed infernal typing upon a bewitched public.
This pair of darkweb summoners have etched one of their first rituals onto magnetic tape, translating this early hex code into ear-splitting air. Samples of tremolo guitars, crowed vocals and the chopped and scrambled voices of one or two actual crows erratically repeat while blastbeats get lost amongst a wash of feedback. Code is co-edited in realtime in a hacked-and-haunted IDE. Kick drums occasionally invoke the spirit of disco due to a slippage of klaw on kaoss pad. It's the sound of demons spewing out of your laptop, packets lost to the abyss.
